Wildcat Summer Volleyball Camps (July 30th - August 2nd)
Head coach, Scott Simonds, was named the District 24-5A Coach of the Year for the 5th time in his eight years as Clear Creek High School's varsity head coach. His varsity teams have accumulated 232 wins thus averaging 29 wins a season. He has lead the Clear Creek girls to the Texas 5A Region 3 playoffs all eight years as head coach while capturing the District 24-5A Championship six times, the Bi-District Championship seven times and the Area Championship six times. His teams have also reached the Regional semifinals five times, the Regional finals three times and the Texas State 5A semifinals once. Coach Simonds has been named the Galveston County Coach of the Year four times and the Greater Houston Area Coach of the Year once. He was selected as a coach for the 2011-2012 Greater Houston Volleyball Coach's Association (GHVCA) South Senior All-Star team and as a coach for the 2009 Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) 5A/4A East All-State team.
Ashley Smith, 6'1"Junior Outside Hitter, was named the Most Valuable Player of District 24-5A, All-District first team, Academic All-District team, Galveston County Offensive Player of the Year, All-Galveston County first team, Vype Magazine's Houston Area second team, Texas Girls Coaches Association 5A All-State selection and a Finalist for LoneStarVolleyball.com's Texas Outstanding Hitter Award. During the season, she was named Houston Chronicle Player of the Week and Lone Star Volleyball Texas Player of the Week. Ashley ended the season ranked #1 in Texas and #5 Nationally in total kills with 793 which broke the previous Clear Creek High School record that she set last year (589). She averaged 6.0 kills/set and had a 50.8% kill percentage which garnered her the #2 ranking in Texas and the #30 ranking Nationally among outside hitters. She served 41 aces and had a 91.5% service completion while contributing 41 blocks, 452 digs and 732 service receptions. Ashley was awarded the Clear Creek High School Captain and the Tri-Most Valuable Player Award at the End of Year Banquet. She has verbally commited to play collegiate volleyball at Texas Christian University (TCU) when she graduates in 2013.
Courtney Richardson, 5'10" Junior Setter, was named the District 24-5A Setter of the Year, All-District first team, Academic All-District team, Galveston County Setter of the Year, All-Galveston County first team and Honorable Mention for LoneStarVolleyball.com's Texas Outstanding Setter Award. During the season, she was named MaxPrep/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Texas Player of the Week, Houston Chronicle Player of the Week and a finalist for Lone Star Volleyball Texas Player of the Week. Courtney ended the season ranked #1 in Texas and #7 Nationally in total assists with 1415 which fell short of breaking the Clear Creek High School record of 1432 assists that she set last year. She averaged 10.72 assists/set which ranked her #1 in Texas and #25 Nationally among setters. She was the only Texas setter among the seven setters Nationally that surpassed the 1400 assists mark during the season. She served a team leading 53 aces and had a 89.0% service completion while contributing 25 blocks and 247 digs. She also had 63 kills and a 46.3% kill percentage. Courtney was awarded the Clear Creek High School Tri-Most Valuable Player Award at the End of Year Banquet.
Ariel Froeschl, 6'0"Junior Middle, was named to the All-District 24-5A first team, Academic All-District team, All-Galveston County first team and Honorable Mention for LoneStarVolleyball.com's Texas Outstanding Hitter Award. Ariel lead the team with 44 blocks and compiled a total of 173 kills along with a 43.1% kill percentage. She managed these numbers in spite of missing 47 sets of the 132 sets that Clear Creek played in due to a back injury early in the season.
Courtney Childers, 5'5" Junior Defensive Specialist, was named to the All-District 24-5A Honorable Mention team and the Academic All-District team. Courtney was a big part of Clear Creek's solid defensive back row and she was awarded the Clear Creek High School Hustle Award at the End of Year Banquet.

Coach Scott Simonds' Wildcat Volleyball Summer Camps and the CCHS Volleyball Booster Club Team Camp are scheduled for July 30 - August 2 in Clear Creek High School's Carlisle Fieldhouse. Detailed information on the individual sessions as well as a camp brochure and registration flyer can be found on the "Summer Camps" page or by clicking on the links below. It is recommended that you register early as space is limited for these popular camps.
Hot-N-Sweaty Summer League (June 3rd - 26th)
The Hot-N-Sweaty Summer League for Varsity, JV and Freshman players will be held this summer at the AVA training facility located on the Southwest corner of the FM 646 and Hwy 3 intersection at 451 Spruce Street in Dickinson, TX. The schedule dates and times for each of the Wildcat teams can be found at the link below. The cost is $45.00 and is due by April 1st with the registration and waiver forms.
Wildcat Volleyball Tryouts (August 6th & 7th)
Tryouts for the Wildcat volleyball teams will be held on August 6th and 7th in Carlisle Fieldhouse. The scheduled time for incoming 9th graders will be from 8-10 am and 1-3 pm both days. The scheduled time for 10th-12th graders will be from 10 am-noon and 3-5 pm both days. All participants should report for tryouts 30 minutes before their scheduled time and must have a completed CCISD Physical Form on file or with them. Coach Garner Accepts Head Coaching Position at Clear Springs High School
Coach Shannon Garner has been named the new head volleyball coach at Clear Springs High School. Shannon has been an assistant coach at Clear Creek High School for the past 11 years and played for the Wildcats during her high school career. Coach Garner's contribution to the Wildcat program will be deeply missed.
Coach Ullmann's Twin Daughter's Are Here!!!
Coach Molly Ullmann and her husband are proud to announce the arrival of their twin daughters, Reese and Riley. The newest Lady Wildcats were born on April 30 at 10:45 pm and 10:55 pm.
Laura Hickman Finalist For Scholarship
Senior Laura Hickman has been named as one of five volleyball finalists for the 2011-12 Touchdown Club of Houston Scholar Athlete Award. The finalists were selected based on their contribution to their sport's team, academic acheivements and extracurricular activities.
Richardson & Smith Headed To USAV Nationals
Clear Creek Juniors, Courtney Richardson and Ashley Smith, have qualified for the 2012 USAV Girl's Junior National Tournament to be held in Columbus, Ohio. Their club team qualified in the 17 Open Division during recent play in Baltimore and will join the top 32 teams in the nation to battle for the National Championship during the four day event, July 3-6.
